Cinder Block:
The cinder block is a relatively easy model that I believe will look pretty nice in game. It is an easy model as it's purely just a rectangle with two holes in the centre, and the texturing will be quick work as I only need to find one image texture of something like concrete that looks similar to the texture of a cinder block.
Concrete Pipe:
The concrete pipe is another very easy, just a cylinder with a hole cut through the middle, and a concrete texture that looks similar to the reference images I've selected here. I want the pipes in my game to be big enough for the player to climb inside and give them some more functionality than just being a prop. I think these simple models will really add to the scene when they're finished.
Hard Hat:
I wanted the hard hat in the scene to sell the fact that my construction site is still being used and is active. I feel like it will give the idea that my research centre is still in use. It'll also help add small details to the scene which is something I really want in my level design.
Wood Pallets:
I think would pallets will be a nice addition to the construction site as, to me they are a pretty staple item found in those areas. They'll be an easy model, slightly higher poly due to the number of objects for each pallet, but the texturing only requires a wood texture and then a slightly different texture for the end of each piece to show the place that the wood isn't smoothed.
Metal Rods:
Metal rods are a final addition to my construction site for now. I want to have some rods sticking out of the wall in areas that it has been damaged and I think having a separate with a pallet full of rusting metal rods and beams will be a nice addition. The rods will be slightly higher poly due to it being a lot of cylinder which can usually be taxing on triangle count, but the texturing will be easy enough if I can find an good image to take a spiralling metal texture from.
